Welcome!

Hi all, I’m Andy. I’m currently a PhD student at Indiana University, but I’m wrapping up. I originally started this blog as a way to reflect on life and my place in academics. But that was awhile ago.

The blog is now a way for me to reconnect with films I’ve seen, and never seen. I try to offer my sincere reactions to the films, and hope to include some insights that might add to the conversation.

In each post, I watch two films that are somehow connected(in my mind at least), and describe them both individually, and then as a pair. All I can offer is my perspective, and I hope you enjoy, and perhaps find a film that you’d like to explore.
